Reserve Cutting Scores changed to by MOS starting July 01

Starting July 1st the Marine Corps Reserve will be promoting Sgt and below with MOS specific cutting scores.  The reserves has been promoting with OCC Field only cutting scores for as far back as Manpower records are available online, which is 2000.  This should lead to a drastic change in speed of promotion through out the reserves.  Previously the Marines in larger MOS groups were able to promote reasonably quickly due to the down preassure applied to the OCC Field scores by the higher attrition MOS.  Marines that applied even minimal composite score effort were usually able to promote around 8 months earlier than promotion models predicted.  These same Marines will now need to almost MAX out bonus points and maintain very high Green scores to stay competitive in the future.   You can read the entirety of the changes in the MARADMIN below.
